League Rules 2009-2010 Season

League Matches

1a)

6 x Singles 501, Double in, Double Out, best of Three Legs.

1b)

3 x Doubles 501 Double in, Double Out, best of Three Legs.

1c)

Nearest the Bull to start, the winner throwing first in the first and third legs.

1d)

League matches must commence at 8.30pm.

League Fees

2a)

A Registration fee of £15 is to be delivered or sent to league HQ (Richmond Arms) with the Team Details Form and the first result sheet.

2b)

Each result sheet should be sent to league HQ (Richmond Arms), no later than 1pm on the Friday following the match, with a fee of £5.

Result Sheets

3a)

Captains are responsible for their own result sheets.

3b)

Late result sheets will result in the total loss of points and averages, etc., for the particular match in question, unless a fine of £5 is paid.

3c)

Captains make a Draw for when their players play in the singles, and that order remains the same for the doubles.

3d)

Substitute players can play in the doubles, but must take the place of the player they replace. (e.g. If you are dropping the second player in the singles, the new player must play as the second person in the first pair)

Competitions

4a)

Competitions will be played down to the Semi-Finals. The winning semi-finalists will meet each other in the final, which is to be played off on finals night.

4b)

Singles heats will be the best of 3 legs of 501, double in - double out. Nearest the bull to start, the winner throwing first in the first and third legs. The Singles Final on finals night will be the best of 5 legs, 501.

4c)

Doubles heats will be the best of 3 legs of 501, double in - double out. Nearest the bull to start, the winner throwing first in the first and third legs. The Doubles Final on finals night will be the best of 3 legs, 501.

4d)

Trebles heats will be the best of 3 legs of 701, double in - double out. Nearest the bull to start, the winner throwing first in the first and third legs. The Trebles Final on finals night will be the best of 3 legs, 701.

4e)

Under no circumstances will there be allowed any substitutes for competitions when the draw has already been done.

4f)

The Peter May Memorial Trophy (Team knockout) heats will be the best of 3 legs of 1001, double in - double out. Nearest the bull to start, the winner throwing first in the first and third legs.

The Consolation Cup will also be played in the same format.

Age

5a)

Any player under the age of 18 must be declared to the league and agreed by the landlord before entering the pub, this means that if it is not agreed by the landlord, then players must not attend.
